A Vampire Gettin' Busy

The majority of vampires I keep in touch with don’t really care if you talk about ‘em. Hollywood has twisted and turned their stories so much most people have no clue about where they come from and how they’re made anyway.

“Go ahead,” said Ignacio Le Mort, a vampire buddy of mine, when I asked him about it. “Mortals always screw it up anyway.”

There’s one mortal who hasn’t screwed it up, though. Linda St. Cyr knows the real deal. Read her article, “How Vampires are Created,” and learn for yourself.

An excerpt: A vampire can only be created by another vampire. There are rules that govern the making of vampires yet this is a golden rule. You cannot become a vampire without the help of another vampire. It is impossible. The legend of the vampire race goes back to ancient times. It is unclear who the first vampire was but it is common knowledge that the only way to make a fledgling vampire is by a host vampire.

These types of collectible item stores on the web appear to be everything under the sun, never a niche site. Give you an example; I was searching for dragon figurines and anything dragon collectible or unique. In a few seconds I was provided a small choice of sites that appeared to match my specific search term. I did stumble across one web site that did stock a few dragon items, but not a big selection. The site seemed to specialize in a variety of different figurines, and dolls, from dolphins to cowboys.

I always wanted a small business opportunity, to supplement my military retirement. After several months of kicking the idea around, I decided, with my sons help to create a dragon figurine, dragon swords and different dragon collectibles. After months of searching and several phone calls, we are proud to announce the opening of our new dragon store. Now collectors will have a complete, dedicated online dragon store to purchase specific items and unique gifts.

It really is rewarding to provide other like collectors such a unique store.

While some consider themselves vampires due to their role-playing preferences, love of shocking their parents or friends, or their blood fetish behaviors, the only REAL vampires are the ones immortalized in quality literature and movies.

I’m not talking about sparkly teens who wander about in the daylight.

I’m not talking about angsty rock star types for really want love, even though they won’t admit it.

I’m talking about vampires. REAL vampires. The undead who hunger eternally for hot, fresh blood pumping out of a gaping neck wounds and splashing over their tongue and teeth.

I’m talking about the monsters we love so much.

What are real vampire abilities?

Perhaps the most important real vampire ability is to scare the crap out of you. No mild discomfort when he looks your way. No perturbation at being the object of his oh-so-obvious interest.

Vampires should have the ability to scare… to terrifiy… to haunt your waking hours with the knowledge that, as soon as the sun slips under the horizon, they will rise and hunt you down.

Real vampire abilities – classic to literature and the oldest origins of legend and myth – all point to the ultimate ability to frighten. Vampires can rise from the dead. They can make other people rise from the dead. They can create armies of undead minions if they so desired. Freaky.

Real vampires can shapeshift into things that are naturally scary: bats, wolves and creeping, noisome mist. You can’t stop them. They can get in anywhere: through a high window, in the woods or open fields and even behind locked doors.

Real vampires can create unnatural glamour.  And I’m not talking about glam rock sparkly crap again. With one glance of their piercing, unusually-colored eyes, they can snare your senses and cause near paroxysms of attraction. They can make you want them as easily as Johnny Depp can. Even if they are actually kind of ugly.
